About Pumzi Teas
A Journey of Passion & Purpose
Pumzi Teas was born from a deep love for Uganda's rich tea heritage and a vision to share it with the world. Founded by Ritah Nagudi, our company represents the perfect blend of tradition and innovation in organic tea production.
The name "Pumzi" comes from the Swahili word for "breath" – symbolizing the refreshing, life-giving essence that our teas bring to every moment. Just as breath is essential to life, we believe a perfect cup of tea is essential to well-being.
From the misty highlands of Uganda, where our tea leaves are carefully cultivated, to your cup, every step of our process is guided by our commitment to quality, sustainability, and the communities we serve.
